Hello and here we are at video number 2 of Barry Wells’ An Internet Marketing Video Challenge and Everyone is Invited. Before we start with part 2, I’d like to direct your attention for a moment to the topic we opened about ‘Landing Pages’ in part 1.
During the past week I came across a couple of posts which will emphasize the point I made and the importance of having ‘Landing Pages’. One being a perfect example of a product review write-up on a blog post by Mr Wells himself and the results received from that post, you can read what Barry has to say here.
And, Pauline Bennett has written a great article which details to you the whys and hows of using Squeeze Pages as your Landing Page. (And she has a great little give-away there for you as well).
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know and prove a point, I don’t always waffle on for no purpose.
Okay, here’s the links I mentioned: Adrienne Smith’s post, with some interesting statistics on video viewing and Steve King’s post showing a perfect example of a product video tour.
That’s it folks for this week, until then, do share this content using the social buttons below and let us know what you have to say by leaving your comment.
Bye for Now
Julie

Hi Julie,
Once again an excellent video
You’ve certainly got the hang of them Julie and it’s great to see the quality of the videos coming together.
The video had a great flow and I loved to way the transitions all worked.
The content of the video was really good again, with really sound advice that I hope people take note of because if they don’t then they won’t have the success they desire.
You even got some shout outs in the video, as well as the post, which is a really nice touch Julie.
Thanks for shouting me and the challenge out and for linking to the challenge and my review of Kindle Publishing made easy
I’ve now added this post to the video blog challenge page on my blog
Thanks Julie, I’m looking forward to part 3
Have a great week, Barry

Hi Barry,
Thank you Barry and no problems with the mention. Your Kindle Publishing review just fit the point I was making, it’s a perfect example and as for your results from that post, it speaks laud and clear that it works.
Yes, like all things, it just takes a little playing around and practice. Your powerpoint tutorials are a great help and filling in the gaps. I’m looking forward to Ian’s Live Movie Maker ones when he’s back up and fit again, that will certainly take things to the next level
I’ll be glued to the screen watching your next tutorial Barry, I’m sure I’ll learn about some little corners to cut through there.
Thank you Barry for all your help and support

Hi Julie
Apart from promoting Barry Wells’s ‘From Passion To Products’ on my site they are all my own products. One thing you mentioned that I must do is create a video for my landing page.
Love the MGM touch at the end.

Hi Bill,
Wow Bill, putting one of your videos on a landing page will certainly grab attention. The scenery of your walks are brilliant, it just makes you want to pack your backpack and go, oh and I just might again very soon
Yeah, the MGM, that was just having a play around with photos and the movie making, then I decided to whack it in, thanks, nice to know someone noticed it.
Thanks Bill for stopping by

I agree Julie, another great video post and thank you SO much for the mention. I was so pleasantly surprised to see my name there and for people to refer to my post for those stats.
I sure hope that with this challenge more and more people are realizing how important videos are. I agree with Barry, I enjoyed the video and the flow of content was fabulous. Clean, simple and understandable.
By the way, love the intro and the music. Great job, I’m jealous!

Hi Adrienne,
Sorry for the delay in replying to you – I think I got abit excited about the boys being away and I’ve so much time on my hands that I’ve not enough hours in the day to get things done. If that makes any sense!
Anyways, you are very welcome for the mention. Your post there showing those video viewing statistics just fits perfectly. And with this challenge, not just making the one, but a series of videos, I’m sure more and more people will see their own results and for the viewers who haven’t, may just start making their own.
Thanks Adrienne for your input, it’s, as always, very much appreciated.
), than filming my presentation!

Oh and the music, I think I spend more time picking and inserting it so as it flows well (got the hang of that now I think

Julie,
Great video and great information.
I like the idea of putting video on a landing page. I think so much more can be said through a video than on a landing page that only has writing.
I usually listen to the whole video but, many times scan the written landing page.
Love all of the tips. Thanks.

Hi Dee Ann,
I am very much the same Dee Ann, quite often skim through the reading, but will listen/watch the video. Yet, not one for actually making them myself – Until now anyway. The more one makes, the easier it does get and the more adventures one tends to get, not forgetting of course that the content itself still remains good quality.
A matter of putting oneself in the shoes of the customer. And put to practice what I would like to read/watch/listen ….
Thanks Dee Ann for stopping by, I appreciate you input.

Hey Julie!
I finally made it back to your site! Wow I love your 2d bar code and the link to your mobile site! Great to see you got it up and running!!
Video had some great tips, I liked your suggestion to use the same images to keep consistency when moving between your post and the sales page.
And as you say it’s a good idea not to duplicate the affiliate content. I might suggest to your readers that they could repackage the content for example use testimonials in videos and things like that.
Looking forward to your next video!
Talk soon

Gidday Mate!
Yeah, the mobile code, finally got it up. So I’ll have no more complaints about not being able to read my posts while on the run!
Still don’t use it myself, one day I may catch up with the times ….
To use the testimonials and adding one or two on your review/landing page video is a good idea Nick, there’s something to add to the list – thanks.
Thanks for stopping by Nick and giving your input. I’ll be over to see your membership site intro. real soon.
’til then, take it easy

Hi Julie
I definitely agree with you about keeping consistency when you are moving your reader from one page to another, or to another site.
As a vendor I try to take that one step further and keep my order form looking as close to the sales page as possible, so that people know they’re still at the same site….and the conversions have improved as a result
Cheers
Steve
PS – Thanks for the Plugs
Twitter: jmd164
Hi Steve,
Well, there you go Steve, again confirming another point. I have moved from landing page to product page before and ended up very confused, wondering if there was a wrong link somewhere. Taking a second and closer look, it was the same product, but the graphics and all where so different. If I wasn’t so nosy, I’d have just clicked away. A little extra thought and keeping consistent really does pay off.
No worries with the Plugs Steve, like it’s said, actions speak laud and your video tour was a perfect example of what I was saying.
Thanks for stopping by Steve and adding your input – well appreciated

Thanks for the informative article. I haven’t really touched affiliate marketing but I have a blog that I’m trying to get out there so I really want to see how I can use affiliate marketing to cover some of the running costs. I need all the information I can get.

Julie,
I love your video and you make some excellent points. I know sometimes I get lazy and do copy and paste those affiliate emails and then I pay for it because people unsubscribe. I know what I did was wrong and well, I really need to take the time and rewrite those emails…but they are so tempting to use..lol.
Good job here on this video – off to see your next one

Hi Linda,
I know what you mean about the pre-written emails Linda, they are really well written and tempting to use as is. At first I use to think, how can I improve on this? So, not looking to improve or change, instead, rewriting them the way I would say it. We all speak English, but it is amazing, though still getting the same message across, how different we do speak. Not to confuse, just a little computerize – International English with a little of your lingo built in. Does that make sense?
Glad you liked the video Linda. Thanks for stopping by and sharing.

Hi Julie,
Another awesome video packed full of great information.
I know its been mentioned already Julie but the flow and transition of the video was excellent and it was so clear and easy to understand.
You are definitley getting the hang of video creation now while at the same time packing them with great content and information.
Taking one of the points you mentioned I never use the pre-written emails provided I always re-write making sure I have covered all the point mentioned in the original email. Much like re-writing PLR really!
Again I loved the music intro and exit Julie and thankyou for letting me know the title of the music in your last video “I am Evil”
Great video Julie, well done and please keep them coming; I love them
Take care, and have a great weekend

Hi Ian,
Well, as I said to Adrienne and Barry, your videos help me alot. I was able to take tips each time and use them to make my next one. I even noticed myself, the flow of things improved in each one.
Sometimes I look at the pre-written emails and think, ‘how can I improve this?’ But like you say, it’s just a matter of rewriting it – not to improve or change the message, only so that it’s written (or typed) in your own hand, so to speak.
Ian, I’m glad you’re fit and back in the swing of things.
Have yourself a lovely and relaxing Easter weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and your support and input
